March 3rd to 5th 2026 sees FIPA at the 28th Annual Victoria International Privacy & Security Summit (VIPSS).
The theme of this year’s summit is, “Trust, Transparency & Transformation: Governing Artificial Intelligence“. If you’re responsible for digital trust, security, privacy, governance or leadership – VIPSS 2026 is where you need to be. We’re back in force again this year.
FIPA will have a booth. We’ve opened the space to any of our advisors and longstanding partners in civil society who are in attendance. Be sure to pop by to speak with members of the FIPA team and representatives.
Thursday March 4th sees Session 7B – Concurrent Panel: Children’s Privacy and Safety Regulation Policy: Canada’s Development of Children’s Privacy Framework
More details to follow.
FIPA is stepping up to make sure more students interested in privacy and cybersecurity get access to incredible learning opportunities like VIPSS.
We’ve pre-paid tickets for a number of secondary and post-secondary students (including articling law students) to attend.
If you meet those criteria or know someone who does, and are able to attend the conference, please contact VIPSS organizers Christine at Reboot Communications.com. Let them know you’re interested in the FIPA student tickets and be sure to visit the FIPA booth.
We encourage students interested in privacy and cybersecurity studying law, public administration, political science, and journalism to attend.
Through training, education and practical leadership development, VIPSS is where leaders gain the competencies they need to protect systems, safeguard people and strengthen trust – across both cybersecurity and privacy. As always delegates within local government and professionals in the industry can obtain CPD/CPE credits by attending the Summit.
