Help Stop Bill C-4 Part 4 

Members of Parliament are putting their political interests ahead of your rights. 

Democracy depends on open dialogue. That requires you to be able to control your personal information and candidates being able to communicate. 

Bill C-4 Part 4 takes away your rights and control over your personal information and places it in the hands of political parties.

If passed, Bill C-4 Part 4 would allow political parties to: 

• Operate without following Canada’s fair information principles 
• Maintain secret political databases 
• Deny access, correction, or removal of your data 
• Avoid independent oversight 

You would have fewer information rights with political parties than with your local coffee shop — or even Canada’s intelligence and police agencies. 

You can act to make your voice heard.

I call on Parliament to ensure that federal political parties are subject to Canada’s fair information principles with independent oversight.
