Update: Thank you to all who expressed interested in this workshop!
FIPA will be celebrating this year’s Right To Know Week by hosting another of our highly-acclaimed workshops on filing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Join us in Vancouver on Tuesday, September 29th for FOI 101, and learn the basic practical skills needed to start tackling your own FOI projects, as well as tips and strategies on how to deal with common FOI difficulties.
FOI 101 will be facilitated by Mike Larsen, a Professor of Criminology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and head researcher for our popular educational resource, Access in the Academy: Bringing ATI and FOI to Academic Research.
If you’re ready to…
- Go beyond government messaging and PR spin to learn how public bodies really treat issues you care about,
- File requests strategically to avoid redactions, exemptions and missing pages that are “out of scope”, and keep fees at a minimum, and
- Meet others with interest in information freedom,
..reserve your seat!
