Judge Bracken ruling on IBM Contract – 6 Jun 2012
BC Supreme court justice Bracken has set down his ruling on a judicial review application sought by the Minister of Citizens Services in the ongoing dispute regarding disclosure of the IBM contract with the Ministry for “Workplace Support”: British Columbia (Minister of Citizens’
Services) v. British Columbia (Information
and Privacy Commissioner) 2012 BCSC 875
The Ministry sought to have the adjudicator’s order pursuant to s. 15(1)(l) of the Act to release information sought by BC FIPA reviewed by the Court (see Decision of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of British Columbia (Order No. F10-39), dated November 25, 2010). Justice Bracken dismissed the application by the Minister and found that Adjudicator’s decision to release the information was reasonable.
